This event is the second installment of the collaboration between the WLA and the HLS Title IX Office in observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and will take place on Wednesday, April 21 at 12:00 pm ET. This conversation will be moderated by Andrea Kramer (’90), founding attorney of Kramer Law LLC. Speakers will include Lauren MacLellan, Senior Legal Counsel at Boston Consulting Group (BCG); Shannon Rand, a senior freelance attorney; and Naomi Shatz, Partner at Zalkind, Duncan & Bernstein. Specific topics will include discussion of individuals’ rights as employees, available avenues and remedies should misconduct or violence occur in the workplace, employers’ responsibilities under Title VII and other laws, as well as an overview of newly proposed legislation that would provide anti-discrimination and reasonable accommodation protections for victims of domestic violence at work.
