Join us for a discussion on the Spring 2021 Harvard Youth Poll from the Institute of Politics. John Della Volpe, Director of Polling at the Institute of Politics, and Jing-Jing Shen ‘23, Student Chair of the Harvard Public Opinion Project (HPOP), will join in conversation with Jacqueline Alemany ‘11, Congressional Correspondent and Anchor of Power Up at the Washington Post. They will examine poll findings around the Biden administration’s first 100 days, the future of the Republican Party, mental health, and the impact of social media, and they discuss what these trends allude to regarding engagement and organizing principles for the upcoming midterms. They will also explore what motivates Generation Z — “Zoomers” — and shapes their outlook on the future of the country, and that of their own lives.
