Educating for Democracy

Date:

Wednesday, October 14, 2020, 3:00pm to 3:30pm

Location:

Virtual

Civic engagement is empowering — and it’s good for our democracy. But too many young people don’t know where their voices fit in — or, after historical exclusion and oppression, have turned away from politics as an avenue for change.

In this action-oriented webinar, we’ll share tools to rethink what civics is and what it can look like — and explore concrete steps that educators and families can take to help young people become informed and active community members.
